India-South Africa T20I: Sourav Ganguly Arrives In Bhubaneswar; Check His Itinerary

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the India-South Africa T20I match at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly arrived in Odisha capital on Sunday afternoon.

He was received by Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Sanjay Behera at Biju Patnaik International Airport. He was then driven to the Mayfair hotel where the players of both the teams are staying.

Notably, Sourav informed the OCA on Friday that he will be present to watch the second India-South Africa T20I.

According to sources, the BBCI chief and former India captain is scheduled to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence around 5 pm and then head to Barabati Stadium to watch the clash, which will begin at 7 pm.

The CM, who had bought the first ticket for the match, is also likely to be among the 45,000 spectators cheering the Men in Blue, aiming to bounce back in the second of five-match series against South Africa after the defeat in the opening T20I in Delhi.

Meanwhile, cricket enthusiasts have started flocking to the stadium, which will be hosting an international cricket match after two and half years. Earlier today, the IMD had ruled out the possibility of heavy during the match.
