Bhubaneswar: The Indian women’s hockey team has sealed a spot in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics by defeating USA 6-5 on aggregate at Kalinga Stadium here.
With this win, the Indian team has qualified for the successive editions of the Olympics. The last time it had made it to the Olympics was in 1980.

The match did not begin on a good note for the home side as they were trailing 4-0 at about half-time when skipper Rani Rampal scored a goal to book a berth for the Olympics. They had already defeated the USA 5-1 on Friday.
