Bhubaneswar: Direct flight services from Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar to United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital Abu Dhabi will commence from June 2025, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi informed on Thursday.
This service will be launched under the Building & Management of Aviation Assets and Network (B-MAAN) scheme.
“A major stride toward connecting Odisha with the world–boosting tourism, trade, and global prospects for a Viksit Odisha,” the CM posted on X while expressing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “steering this landmark aviation push”.

The IndiGo will operate the flight thrice a week — Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.
This comes two days after the CM announced daily flights between Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam, starting June 2025.
In the 2025-26 budget in February, Majhi had pushed for B-MAAN plan to support aviation infrastructure development and enhance air connectivity in the state. An amount of Rs382 crore was allocated for establishing a new airport at Paradip and expanding air connectivity to 10 domestic and 3 international destinations.
