Bhubaneswar: An international exhibition on folk and tribal art was inaugurated by Development Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena here on Tuesday.
Over 100 paintings are being showcased in the exhibition. As many as 30 artists from seven countries are participating in the event. Of them, 24 artists are Indian, including three from Odisha.
Artists Bijay Parida and Sudhir Moharana showcased Pattachitra painting, while Junesh Gamanga exhibited his skills on Soura painting.
Folk art and dance like Das Kathia, Pala and Jodi Sankha were performed by the artists during the inauguration function.
This exhibition was organised by the Odia Language Literature and Culture Department in association with the Odisha State Museum and Purvasha Folk and Tribal Art Museum.
The exhibition will be held between 10 am and 5 pm every day and will continue till February 21.
