Mumbai: After reports of Akshay Kumar slapping a Rs. 25 crore legal notice on Paresh Rawal started doing the rounds, a section of Reddit users alleged that the clash between the actors is a PR stunt for their upcoming film.
On Tuesday, some Reddit users took to the social media platform to argue that the two actors share a great bond off-screen, and thus, Akshay can never sue Paresh.
“Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar are not stupid. They have been in the industry for 30+ years. And they are thorough professionals. Even if there was a case, it would not be in public this fast. These are just for PRs,” one of the users wrote.
“This is so made up. Paresh Rawal leaving the greatest franchise he is ever been a part of. 25 cr ka lawsuit – this is probably more than the fees of Paresh Rawal. Akshay and Paresh share damn good chemistry offscreen – he wont file suit against paresh. Even if Akshay had a riff with Paresh, he wouldn’t make it this obvious – UNLESS this is for film promotion,” shared another.
Expressing his disappointment over the news, another user commented, “It is extremely sad if all of this is a publicity stunt. I didn’t expect Akshay and Paresh to stoop to this level and go along with their PR/Marketing team.”
For the unversed, Paresh recently left his fans disheartened by confirming that he is not a part of ‘Hera Pheri 3.’
Following Paresh’s confirmation, reports started doing the rounds that Akshay has sued his fellow actor for unprofessional conduct.
Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh began filming ‘Hera Pheri 3’ in April with director Priyadarshan.
Akshay, who bought the rights of the film from Feroz Nadiadwala, is also a producer of the film.
