Jan 13 Deadline For CCTV Cameras To Be Installed In All Higher Secondary Schools In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has directed all higher secondary schools to install CCTVs ahead of the annual HS examination 2023.

Schools have been directed to set up CCTVs in examination halls, rooms, labs, and strong rooms of the examination management hubs (EMH) by January 13.

Around 460 higher secondary schools in Odisha don’t have CCTVs yet, despite a directive issued by School and Mass Education department in 2018 making it mandatory at all Plus II exam centres to keep a check on malpractices.

The schools had been asked to install CCTV cameras of 2 megapixel in examinations hall by the end of 2018, failing which CHSE had threatened to cancel the examination centre of the college and shift it to other colleges where CCTV cameras were there.
