Khurda: Vigilance officials on Wednesday arrested Executive Officer of Jatni Municipality in Khurda district while she was accepting Rs 5,000 as bribe. The accused has been identified as Lalita Kapoor. She had demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant, Bhikhyakari Sahu for sanctioning his pending gratuity amount. Sahu reported the matter to the Vigilance Department in Khurda, following which a trap was laid. Lalita was caught while accepting the bribe.
