New Delhi: US Vice President JD Vance, accompanied by his Indian-origin wife Usha Vance and their three children, is scheduled to arrive in India on Monday for a four-day visit packed with high-level meetings, cultural engagements, and travel across Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra. The visit comes amid renewed focus on India-US trade ties, especially in the context of Donald Trump’s tariff policies.

PM Modi to Host JD Vance for Dinner
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a formal dinner for JD Vance and his family on Monday evening. Before the dinner, the two leaders are expected to hold detailed talks focusing on trade, reciprocal tariffs, and accelerating the finalisation of the proposed India-US bilateral trade agreement. Sources said that the discussions will also aim to boost the overall trajectory of bilateral ties.
Vance Family’s Itinerary: Delhi, Jaipur & Agra
The Vance family is set to land at Delhi’s Palam airbase at 10 am and will stay at the ITC Maurya Sheraton hotel. Their visit to Delhi includes a trip to the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple and a local market known for traditional handcrafted Indian goods.
On Monday night, the Vance family will travel to Jaipur, where they will visit the historic Amer Fort and address a gathering at the Rajasthan International Centre on April 22.
Taj Mahal Tour, Shilpgram Visit in Agra
On April 23, the family will head to Agra to visit the iconic Taj Mahal and Shilpgram, an open-air market showcasing Indian handicrafts. They will return to Jaipur later that day and are expected to stay at the luxurious Rambagh Palace, a former royal guesthouse.
Address on India-US Relations Under Trump
JD Vance is also expected to deliver a keynote address during his visit, focusing on the broader aspects of India-US relations under the Trump administration. The event will be attended by diplomats, foreign policy experts, Indian officials, and academics.
The Vance family will conclude their India trip and depart for the United States on April 24.
