New Delhi: Vidya Rattan Sharma has been appointed Additional Director and Managing Director of Jindal Steel for a term of two years.
Sharma, a distinguished industry technocrat, previously served as Managing Director from 2019 to 2022 and Deputy MD & CEO from 2010 to 2014, possesses four decades of global leadership experience in the steel, power and mining sectors.
The announcement came after a meeting of the company’s Board of Directors on Friday.
Following are other key executive & senior leadership appointments:
Sandeep Modi — Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel. He brings over two decades of financial leadership, having previously served as CFO of Hindustan Zinc Limited, Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), and Talwandi Sabo Power Limited.
Sunil Agrawal, who served as Interim CFO, will continue to oversee the Finance function.
Rajiv Kumar — Chief Operating Officer (COO). A Metallurgical engineer with over 35 years of steel sector leadership — including roles as CEO of Vedanta Aluminium and VP Operations (Kalinganagar) at Tata Steel —Kumar will oversee operations across all plants and mining sites.
Sukhjit S. Pasricha — Head of Human Resources. With nearly 30 years of HR experience across major brands like IndiGo, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance and Airtel, he will lead the talent transformation agenda.
S S Kothari Mehta & Co. LLP has been recommended as Statutory Auditors for a 5-year term starting from the conclusion of the upcoming 47th AGM till the 52nd AGM, subject to shareholder approval.
