Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow and orange warnings for 12 districts of Odisha, including twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till 6 pm on Thursday.
Thunderstorm with hail and gusty wind surface wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph may occur at isolated places in Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts. Thunderstorm/lightning is also likely in Angul, Balangir, Cuttack, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Khurda and Koraput districts.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
