Bhubaneswar: Football fever in Odisha’s capital city is reaching fever pitch as fans prepare to watch the country’s top clubs in action at the Kalinga Super Cup 2025.
A couple of hours from now, defending champions East Bengal will kick-start the knockout tournament at Kalinga Stadium with a pre-quarterfinal clash against Kerala Blasters.
Home team Odisha FC will begin their campaign with a round-of-16 match against Punjab FC on Monday evening, the kick-off being at 8 pm.
Before travelling to the stadium, fans have been advised not to carry certain items to the ground “to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.”
Food, coins, camera and umbrella are among the common things that fans are tempted to carry with them, but won’t be allowed.
The other banned items are — power bank, cigarette lighter, selfie stick, wooden stick, sharp objects, backpack, bottles, weapons, helmets.
