Bhubaneswar based Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was awarded the prestigious Internationalisation Strategies Advisory Service Badge (ISAS) by International Associations of University (IAU) at a ceremony held at Puebla, Mexico on November 13-15.
This makes KIIT Deemed to be University the first Indian University to get the ISAS Badge. The recognition, which marks the achievement of milestones along the journey of internationalisation, was given to KIIT at an award ceremony held during the IAU 2019 International Conference on “Transforming Higher Education for the Future” in Mexico, an official release of the university said on Tuesday.
Pan Fredman, president, IAU and Eva Egron Polak, Council Member, former Secretary General, presented the award to representatives from KIIT. IAU awarded the badge to KIIT for Planning and Strategy Learning.
A delegation, led by the Secretary General had visited the KIIT Deemed to be University three years ago and inspected various teaching, learning, research and development strategies of KIIT. It got the badge following the report of IAU’s Secretary General.
Dr Achyuta Samanta, founder, KIIT and KISS, expressing satisfaction, said, teaching, learning, research and development strategies of KIIT have had international focus since its inception. And this is what made the badge possible.
