Know The Difference In Unlock 2.0 Guidelines Announced By Odisha Govt & The Centre

Bhubaneswar: The guidelines for Unlock 2.0 issued by the Centre included relaxations in night curfew (10 pm to 5 am), provision for more domestic flights and trains, and clearance for more than five persons in a shop.

Schools, colleges and other educational institutions will remain closed till July 31, and Metro rail, multiplexes, gyms, swimming pools, bars and auditoriums will stay shut until further orders, it added.

With existing COVID-19 management guidelines ending tonight, the Odisha government on Tuesday announced that schools and colleges in the state will remain closed till August 31.

During the press briefing, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy said that decision to open malls will be taken by local authorities.

The government relaxed the night curfew timings (9 pm to 5 am) but it is an hour less than that announced by the Centre. It was earlier in force from 7 pm to 5 am.

The state government has also requested the Centre not to increase the intensity of train/air movement from hotspot areas to Odisha.
