Nabarangpur: Seven Class-III students were beaten by a lady school teacher for giving the wrong answer in Murtuma Tribal Primary School under Umarkote NAC in Nabarangpur on Saturday.
The students were injured and admitted to a local hospital.

According to sources, the lady teacher has been identified as Jayantibala Bhatra.
Meanwhile, parents of the students have lodged a complaint in this regard.
Based on the complaint, the Block Education Officer has started investigation into the matter.
Jayantibala Bhadra is currently absconding and the school authorities are trying to contact her.
