In another humanitarian effort some days ago, some traffic constables on duty had helped a vegetable vendor by picking up fallen tomatoes from the road at the busy Airport Square.
The vendor was ferrying tomatoes on an auto-rickshaw when a few crates fell on the road. The vendor got down to collect them. Moved by his plight, a few passers-by also came forward to help the man.
Seeing this, traffic constables on duty stopped vehicular movement for a few minutes and helped the vendor to collect his tomatoes.
