Lockdown In Odisha: Now, Anganwadi Centres Closed Till April 30

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday extended the closure of all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) till April 30.

Talking to mediapersons here, government chief spokesperson on COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi said the take-home ration in the form of chhatua, ladoos etc, for the month, will be provided to the children in the age group between 6 months and 3 years and pregnant and nursing women in their households by  Anganwadi workers and helpers.

Dry ration, in lieu of morning snacks and hot cooked meals for the month, will be provided to pre-school (3-6 years) at their households.

Eggs, as per entitlement, are to be distributed to such beneficiaries, on a weekly basis, at the household level.

Members of chhatua producing self-help groups (SHGs), Anganwadi workers and helpers will maintain the standards of hygiene and protocols for social distancing, he added.
