Patna: With Lok Sabha elections just months away, the poll bugle has already been sounded.
The BJP is pushing for a third successive term for Narendra Modi as Prime Minister with over 400 seats, their war cry being ‘Teesri baar Modi Sarkar, ab ki baar 400 paar’.
The Congress, on the other hand, is banking on Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ to woo voters even as the INDIA bloc seems to be falling apart on the most important issue of seat sharing in different states.
Amid all this, how is Prashant Kishor looking at the upcoming election?
The ace poll strategist has said that the BJP-led NDA alliance will achieve a “clean sweep” in the Lok Sabha elections.
In an exclusive interview with Aaj Tak, Kishor slammed Nitish Kumar for dumping the Mahagathbandhan alliance — which comprised of JD(U), RJD and Congress — and said that the Bihar CM was “playing the last innings of his life.”
Kishor described Nitish as “cunning” and predicted that JD(U) won’t win more than 20 seats in the 2025 Bihar assembly polls.
“Nitish Kumar won’t be able to win over 20 seats in the next assembly election, irrespective of whichever alliance he will be fighting for. If they get over 20 seats, then I will quit my job,” Kishor claimed.
Nitish recently severed ties with RJD and Congress, and took oath as chief minister – this time of the NDA alliance – for a record ninth time.
