Kolkata: A lookout notice has been issued against former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma by Kolkata Police over her controversial remarks against Prophet Muhammad.
Two FIRs were registered in her name in different police stations under Kolkata Police last month.
Nupur was first summoned by Narkeldanga Police Station and asked to appear on June 20. Amherst Street PS then asked her to appear on June 25.
But Nupur decided to skip both summons, stating risk on her life. Kolkata Police has now issued a lookout circular against Nupur.
Cases against her have also been registered in Hyderabad, Pune and Mumbai for hurting religious sentiments.
