Bhadrak: The famous Jagar Jatra at Akhandalamani temple in Bhadrak district will be held without devotees this year in view of Corona pandemic.
According to sources, prohibitory orders under Section-144 will be clamped at Akhandalamani shrine from 7am on March 10 to 7 am March 12 to avoid crowding during Maha Shivaratri celebration.
Bhadrak district administration has taken this decision to avoid the second wave of COVID-19.
The Cuttack district administration has also decided not to allow the devotees to celebrate ‘Maha Shivaratri’ celebration in Dhabaleswara Peetha this year due to COVID-19 pandemic. Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC will be clamped in and around the Dhabaleswara Peetha for two days on March 11 and 12.
