Jajpur: A man was arrested after he allegedly bit off his father’s nose and attacked two others in an inebriated state at a village in Odisha’s Jajpur district.
According to sources, the incident took place at Routrapur village under the jurisdiction of Jajpur Road police station. The accused, identified as Bibhuti Samal, was arrested on Tuesday.
Sources said Bibhuti came home drunk late on Monday night and started hurling abuses at neighbours. When his father Shatrughan opposed, Bibhuti got furious and started beating him up. The accused even bit off his father’s nose in a fit of rage.
Two neighbours were also attacked by him when they rushed to Shatrughan’s rescue. All the injured persons were later admitted to Jajpur Road Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.
On being informed, police registered a case and took Bibhuti into custody.
