Cuttack: One person was killed in after a massive explosion took place during alleged manufacturing of firecrackers illegally at a village in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Sunday.
As per information, the blast took place in a house at Hatigada near Khalarda under the jurisdiction of Cuttack Sadar Police station when crackers were being made.

The blast, which happened at Baikuntha Samal’s home, damaged the asbestos roof and claimed the life a man, identified as Suresh Bhoi. The deceased was reported to have been engaged in the cracker making.
On being informed, fire service personnel from Baranga rushed to the scene, extinguished the fire, and recovered the body, which was handed over to local police for further action.
