Bhubaneswar: After the shocking gangrape on Gopalpur beach in Odisha, another case of sexual assault by a gang has come to light in Mayurbhanj district of the state.
A married woman was allegedly abducted and raped by four miscreants in Rajabasa area of Baripada town, triggering widespread outrage in the area.
The incident came to light after the husband of the survivor lodged a complaint regarding the incident at Baripada Sadar police station.
As per the complaint, the miscreants abducted the woman from her house on Tuesday night and took her to a nearby place. The perpetrators allegedly took turn to sexually assault the woman inside a room before fleeing the spot.
The incident comes days after a 20-yer-old college student was gangraped on Gopalpur beach in Ganjam district on Sunday night.
