New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki on Monday said that it has sold around 2 lakh vehicles via its online sales network since April 2019.
The country’s biggest carmaker said it received nearly 21 lakh digital enquiries.
The digital sales platform, which was launched 2 years ago, accepts online bookings as well. The platform covers around 1,000 dealerships across the country. Google’s research also suggests that 72 per cent of customers search for dealers online.
Twenty per cent of total sales now take place through this platform, the company said, adding that enquiries have increased further during the last 5 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki, has pointed to Google Auto Gear Shift India 2020 report that shows nearly 95 per cent of new car sales in India are digitally influenced.
