Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has roped in Microsoft Team to provide online education to school students in the state amid the COVID-19 lockdown.
School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said Microsoft Team was roped in as part of the government’s online education mission, which also includes conducting digital classes via WhatsApp, DD-Odia, Madhu App and EDUSAT.

The minister said the District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Project Coordinators (DPCs) of 24 districts have been imparted training in this regard. Besides, the headmaster and two assistant teachers of 10 schools in each district have been trained.
Dash said 250 students from Classes I to X in each school will avail the online education by Microsoft Team. This will enable the students of state run government schools to directly interact with their teachers, he added.
