Cuttack: A group of miscreants on Tuesday looted cash to the tune of Rs 9.5 lakh from a branch of Bank of India at Nayasarak here.
According to a complaint lodged by the bank officials at Lalbagh police station, four unidentified miscreants entered the bank around 12:30 pm posing as customers. They later decamped with a cash bag from the cashier’s counter. The bank employees came to know about the loot after shortfall in cash was detected by the cashier during recounting.
Police have started investigation into the case.
