New Delhi: In a hard-hitting message to Pakistan, Narendra Modi made it absolutely clear that India will no longer tolerate any terror-related intrusion and not hesitate to go hard again if pushed or provoked.
Having agreed to a ceasefire, “on Pakistan’s approach”, India has only paused, Modi emphasised.
He warned Pakistan to get its house in order vis-à-vis terrorism, and said there could be no normal bilateral talks in the present circumstance.
“The way Pakistan military and the government are helping terrorism flourish there, it will destroy Pakistan one day. If Pakistan want to be spared, it has to abolish the terror infrastructure,” Modi opined.
He went on to say that “terror and talks can’t co-exist, neither water and blood.”
“If there are to be talks between India and Pakistan, it will only be on terrorism and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK)… India’s stand has been made clear — terror, trade and talks cannot be done together,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister further said that India won’t henceforth “differentiate between the government which is under the influence of terrorists and the handlers of terrorists.”
