Money-Laundering Case: ED Grills Sushant Singh Rajput’s Flatmate Siddharth Pithani
Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani arrived at Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Mumbai around 2 pm on Monday for questioning in connection with a money-laundering case linked to the actor’s death
He had earlier skipped the Saturday summon of the ED.
According to the ED sources, Pithani is the sixth individual to be questioned by the agency and his statement will be recorded under the Prevention of the Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
An IANS report said that the IT professional will be questioned about the financial status of Sushant and events leading up to his death.
Pithani had claimed that he was the first person who saw the late actor’s body hanging from the ceiling fan of their apartment at Bandra and was earlier questioned by Mumbai Police in connection with his death.

Earlier in the day, Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, father Indrajit Chakraborty and business manager Shruti Modi also appeared before the ED for another round of grilling.
Rhea was questioned for over eight hours on Friday, her brother Showik was also questioned on Friday and Saturday for 18 hours.

The ED is investigating the claim that Rhea and others siphoned off Rs 15 crore from Sushant’s bank account and harassed him for financial gains.
