Admn Issues Clarification On Two-Day Shutdown In Odisha Town

Nayagarh: The district administration on Friday dismissed media reports about a proposed shutdown in Nayagarh town on September 28 and 29 amid rising COVID-19 cases.

A local news channel had quoted the collector saying that a two-day shutdown will be imposed in Nayagarh town from Monday. The town will be completely sanitised during this period, the period added.

A post on Collectorate Nayagarh official Twitter handle, however, said that no shutdown has been ordered by any authority of Nayagarh administration,

It is noticed that some media reports have mentioned about shutdown in Nayagarh on 28th and 29th September

This is to clarify that no such shutdown has been ordered by any authority of Nayagarh Administration.@CMO_Odisha @SRC_Odisha
