Chennai: In one of the most talked-about events in the entertainment world, Nayanthara got married to Vignesh Shivan in an intimate ceremony at Mahabalipuram in the presence of family and close friends.

The 37-year-old Nayanthara, known as the ‘lady superstar of Tamil and Telugu cinema’ had been dating 36-year-old filmmaker Vignesh for six-seven years.

They were initially reported to be keen on getting married at Tirupati temple. But logistics issues compelled them to change venue, with Vignesh saying that three days ago that their wedding will be a private affair.

Among stars from the entertainment world who attended the wedding were Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Sarath Kumar, Atlee, Vijay Sethupathi, Mani Ratnam.
