New Containment Zones In Odisha’s Puri After Court Clerk, Lawyer & Accused Test Corona Positive

Puri: Collector Balwant Singh on Thursday issued new containment zone order after a COVID-19 case was detected on the premises of District Civil Court in the Pilgrim Town the previous day.

A ‘moharir’ (court clerk) was found infected.

 

Besides, three accused persons who were produced in the court from June 11 to 15 have also been
tested positive. “Similarly. one lawyer coming to the Civil Court has also been tested positive which may lead to the further possible spread of COVID-19 and in exigency of such situation, it is highly essential to declare the said area as containment zone and restrict public/ officials/ staff/ advocates/ stamp vendors from entering into and going out of the containment zone,” the notification said.

A. From Electricity Office Chhak to end of the District Record Room (Backside of Collectorate)
B. From the end of the District Record Room (Backside of Collectorate) to the backside of Sea Beach police station Chhak (backside of Treasury and Municipality Office)
C. From the backside of Sea Beach police station to end of the backside of District Civil
Court.
