New Delhi: Senior bureaucrat Arvind Shrivastava has been appointed Union Revenue Secretary as part of a top-level bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the Central government on Friday.
Shrivastava, a 1994 batch Karnataka cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, was so long serving as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to a Personnel Ministry order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved Shrivastava’s appointment as Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.
In other changes, Civil Aviation Secretary Vumlunmang Vualnam has been named Secretary, Department of Expenditure.
Vualnam succeeds Manoj Govil, who has been appointed Secretary (Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat.
Vivek Aggarwal, a 1994 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been named Secretary, Ministry of Culture.
Aggarwal is currently working as Additional Secretary in Department of Revenue. He also holds the charge of Director, Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND).
