Hyderabad: In what could have been a potentially major accident, the ceiling of the Asian Mukunda theatre in Telangana’s Mahabubabad collapsed on the audience during the screening of ‘Kuberaa’.
According to a report in the Siasat, the ceiling collapsed at around 11.30 pm when the audience was engrossed in the film which stars Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna.
Videos of the incident, shared on social media, showed panic-stricken audience trying to run out of the theatre.
No major casualty has been reported. Two people who suffered minor injuries were rushed to a nearby hospital.
After the incident, the audience got into a fight with the theatre management for its negligence. However, no case has been registered.

Another user said, “Producers have been saying in multiple interviews that they have to take care of single screens.. now it’s just not theatres .. it’s audience who has take care of themselves as well.”
