Bhubaneswar: Nor’wester rain is likely to lash many parts of Odisha for five more days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.
Rain coupled with thunderstorms and hailstorms is likely to lash most parts of the state during the period up to the morning of April 24.
In its midday bulletin, the weather agency has issued an orange warning for nine districts and forecast heavy rainfall with thunderstorms during the next 24 hours.
On April 20, the IMD issued an orange warning along with a yellow warning for different districts. While an orange alert is in place especially for north and south Odisha, a yellow warning is in place for coastal Odisha.
The weather agency said there will be no major change in day temperature during the next three days. Thereafter, day temperature may go up by 2-4 degree Celsius.
