Bhubaneswar: After Bengaluru, Odisha is likely to host the sixth and final investors’ meet in Hyderabad on October 17, sources said on Monday.

The event is a prelude to the third edition of the ‘Make-in-Odisha’ conclave, which is slated to be held in the state from November 30 to December 4, and aims at showcasing the diverse business-friendly ecosystem of Odisha to potential investors who could invest in the state.

Apart from addressing investors, the CM is expected to have one-on-one interactive sessions with representatives of leading companies and industry associations there, the sources added.

On September 28, Naveen in Bengaluru appealed to industry captains to become partners in the state’s transformative journey and work together for the growth of the nation while offering X-plus incentives. Among others, Managing Director of Accenture Ltd Ajay Vij, Managing Partner of IBM India Pvt Ltd Amit Sharma, MD & CEO of Wipro-GE Healthcare Pvt Ltd Dr Shravan Subramanyam, President of Concentrix Daksh Services Ltd Girish Menon, Senior VP and Chief Corporate Affairs of Flipkart Rajneesh Kumar met the CM. One of the noted participants in the Government-to-Business (G2B) meetings was Azim Premji, former chairman of Wipro Limited.

Earlier in September, he attended an investors’ meet in Mumbai and interacted with industrialists like K M Birla, Anil Agarwal and Anand Mahindra, top bankers and financial wizards. On August 31, he attended the curtain-raiser of the flagship biennial event in Delhi and held discussions pertaining to investment in Odisha with envoys of different countries. This was the third investment roadshow after Dubai and Ahmedabad.

Odisha could draw investment intents of more than Rs 21,000 crore at the investors’ meet in Dubai, the first-ever investment event attended by Naveen outside Indian soil.
