Odisha: 4 Abandoned Kids Get New Lease Of Life Courtesy KISS Foundation

Bhubaneswar: KISS Foundation has decided to impart free education to four hapless kids of Anandpur in Keonjhar district at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) here. The Foundation will also provide a monthly stipend of Rs 3000 to each of them to meet their expenses.

According to sources, the four children have been living a miserable life in the absence of their parents for the past few years. Their father is in jail after being convicted in a murder case and their mother has abandoned them. Left with no option, one of the sisters, a minor girl, started working as a daily wager to run the family.

After getting to know about the sorry plight of the children from the media, KIIT and KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta decided to intervene and asked his representatives to get them admitted to KISS free of cost.

The children and locals at Anandpur have thanked KISS Foundation and Samanta for the largesse.
