Sambalpur: Seven youths, including six minors, were caught riding a single scooter at Dhanupali in Odisha’s Sambalpur, late on Sunday, openly flouting traffic rules.
The incident came to light after a video of the group, joyriding recklessly and disturbing the public, went viral on social media.

Dhanupali and Khetrajpur police immediately sprung into action and tracked down the scooter within an hour using CCTV footage. The riders were also detained. A fine of Rs 21,500 fine was also imposed on the scooter owner for multiple traffic violations, according to Sambalpur’s road transport officer, Ramdas Tudu.
Tudu has appealed to the public to avoid breaking traffic rules or performing road stunts.
