Odisha Beat Assam By 9 Wickets In Vijay Hazare Trophy

Bengaluru: Skipper Govinda Poddar (50 off 46 balls) and wicket-keeper Rajesh Dhuper (70 off 83 balls) scored unbeaten half-centuries as Odisha thrashed Assam by nine wickets in its third Group A one-day match of Vijay Hazare Trophy here on Sunday.

Odisha won the toss and chose to field first. Suryakant Pradhan and Abhishek Rout took two wickets each to bundle out Assam for 136 runs in 46.1 overs.

Chasing a target of 137 runs, Rajesh and Govinda stitched a 102-run second-wicket partnership after Anurag Sarangi (13 off 25 balls) departed early.
