Odisha Boy Sets Guinness World Record On Asana

Bhubaneswar: Odia boy Sanath Rath has found a place in Guinness Book of World Records by remaining in a particular pose of Asana (Brukhyasana) for longest period of time.

Sanath’s name was entered in the record book for holding the pose for one hour 6 minute and 55 second. The purpose of the attempt is to promote yoga as a way of living and celebrating life, he said.

Sanath has also found a place in Limca Book of records for having the largest collection of unique cycles.

“It has been my ambition to set world records since my childhood. Now I have a Guinness record and a Limca Book of record,” he said.

According to Sanath, yoga, cycling and exercise are important for every youth. These habits can keep them fit and stress-free, he said.

Sanath is now working in a multinational company in Bangalore.
