Sushant Singh Rajput Death: AIIMS Forensic Report Says Suicide, Rules Out Murder

New Delhi: The death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was due to suicide and it was not a case of murder, according to the forensic report submitted by a team of experts from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Rejecting all the theories of poisoning and strangling, the head of the AIIMS forensic team, Dr Sudhir Gupta, said, “Sushant death is a case of suicide. Murder completely ruled out.

India TV quoted unamed sources familiar with the forensic report as saying that the AIIMS team has completed the examination and closed the file after giving all the reports to the CBI.

Meanwhile, the CBI is likely to continue its probe into “abetment to suicide”, the charge that was originally listed by Bihar Police.

Sushant was found dead on June 14 in his Mumbai apartment. Following the initial autopsy report, Mumbai Police had called it suicide. However, social media campaigns and the late actor’s family had alleged foul play in the case, which became a part of an overall CBI investigation.
