Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held his eleventh public grievance hearing session in Bhubaneswar on Monday, continuing his direct outreach to citizens.
Around 1,000 persons had registered online for the hearing session, which was held at a newly arranged chamber in Unit 2.
“In a people’s government, the highest priority is resolving citizens’ problems. Heard public grievances at the new Unit-2 grievance room in Bhubaneswar. Directed officials to take immediate steps for swift redressal in the interest of the complainants,” the CM said in a post on X.
In view of the hot and humid weather, the hearing started in the morning, with necessary arrangements made for the comfort of attendees and officials. The chamber was equipped with seating, fans, coolers, drinking water, and toilet facilities.
The General Administration Department made comprehensive arrangements to ensure smooth operations. Most importantly, special provisions were also made for divyang individuals to ensure accessibility.
Citizens who had registered their grievances online through the state government’s portal janasunani.odisha.gov.in or the Janasunani mobile app have arrived at the complaint cell with acknowledgement slips, identity proof, and written complaints to raise their concerns directly to the Chief Minister.
This initiative reflects the Chief Minister’s commitment to visiting various districts to listen to public complaints and work towards their resolution.
On April 21, the Chief Minister had held a public grievance hearing session for the first time outside Bhubaneswar. The hearing programme was conducted in Sambalpur.
