Bhubaneswar: In a significant step to bolster digital governance, the Odisha government on Wednesday launched ‘e-registration’ mobile application to provide access to all revenue-related services at the fingertips of citizens.
Launched by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the app aims at providing all revenue services under one platform, enabling people to access various facilities from the comfort of their homes.
Officials said the e-registration app allows users to apply for various services, download documents online, and access information such as land registration, online slot booking, income certificate, certified copy, and sub-registrar office details. The app also provides feedback mechanisms for visitor registration and application services.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the app’s benefits and said the system is easy and convenient as a host of services are available at the fingertips of citizens with the use of modern technology.
Expressing happiness that the Revenue Department has developed the e-registration mobile app, Majhi said it will enable people to apply for slot booking, a certified copy, and EC for registration deed from home.
The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s commitment to using technology to simplify lives and bring governance to people’s doorsteps. He noted that services that once took days or even weeks can now be completed within minutes through this mobile application.
The CM also launched the annual success booklet of the Revenue Department, which highlights the department’s achievements in the last year. Majhi added, “After our government came to power, there have been major reforms in the revenue administration sector, and revenue services have become closer to the people.”
The app aims to eliminate the need for physical visits to revenue offices or service centers, making it easier and more efficient for citizens to access important government services directly from their smartphones. The platform will offer a one-stop solution for a range of services related to land records, registration, and official documentation.
Through the e-registration app, users can book online slots for property registration, track the status of slot bookings, apply for certified copies of documents, download important land-related documents online, check the government-assessed market value of land, identify their nearest sub-registrar office, apply for inspection-based registration services, and share feedback on the services received.
The app ensures transparency, faster processing, and minimal human intervention, which also reduces the scope for delays or corruption.
