Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday launched the Project Monitoring Dashboard of the Works Department at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
With the launch of the new system, various infrastructure projects can be monitored in real time and implemented flawlessly. It will ensure greater efficiency in the implementation of various projects, the Chief Minister said on this occasion.
It may be noted that with the monitoring system adopted earlier, the information was not flowing properly and the progress of work was slowing down. As a result, there was also delay in decision-making.
Through this advanced GIS dashboard, the latest picture of public assets and ongoing projects can be seen. Detailed information about the projects can also be obtained at the district and block level. In addition, appropriate site allocation can be ensured as satellite maps can be viewed. Therefore, this system will bring more financial transparency, the CM said.
The ‘Issue Tracker’ system on the dashboard will enable proper monitoring of various issues relating to land acquisition, forest land, and encroachment of projects.
Live project tracking, financial monitoring, proactive risk alert and performance monitoring facilities will make it easier to take decisions on projects.
The Chief Minister said that the project monitoring dashboard will be further expanded and used by other departments. This will strengthen the infrastructure project construction system of Odisha and further accelerate the goal of building a prosperous Odisha.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravathi Parida, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan and other members of the cabinet were present at the event. Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, and other senior officials were also present.
