Bokaro: A 35-year-old man has been arrested for supporting Tuesday’s terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir that led to the death of 26 tourists and left several others injured. This comes at a time when the entire nation is mourning the deaths and world leaders have condemned the attack.
Mohammad Naushad, however, expressed his glee at the deaths over social media and supported the act of the terrorists. Several social media users tagged the Jharkhand Police, demanding action against Naushad. The police finally tracked him down and arrested him on Wednesday morning.
The police said that Naushad received education at a madrasah in Bihar. While one of his brothers lives in Dubai, he lives in Bokaro with his father. This is not the first time that Naushad has made provocative posts on social media. He uses a SIM Card obtained through his brother in Dubai to remain active on Facebook, X and Instagram.
According to the police, Naushad congratulated the terrorists for the Pahalgam incident and made several other provocative statements. On X, he posted in Urdu: “Thank you Pakistan, thank you Lashkar-e-Taiba. May Allah always keep you happy.”
He followed this with: “Ameen, Ameen. We would be even happier if the RSS, BJP, Bajrang Dal, and media are targeted.” Naushad also included smiley emojis in the post.
After complaints were filed against him, Bokaro SP Manoj Swargiyari formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in coordination with the technical branch of the police. Inspector Naveen Kumar Singh was made the head of this team. The SIT searched for Naushad throughout the night, and he was finally arrested on Wednesday morning.
