Odisha CM Presents Rs 12,156 Cr Supplementary Budget In Assembly; Subhadra Scheme Gets Rs 1,196 Cr

Bhubaneswar: To meet the requirement of funds for public welfare and developmental activities, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presented the Supplementary Budget of Rs 12,156 crore in the Assembly on Tuesday.

Majhi, who holds the Finance portfolio, presented the Supplementary Statement of Expenditure for 2024-25 in the House.

The Supplementary provision of Rs 10,155 crore under Programme Expenditure is to be financed by tied up resources to the extent of Rs 3,236 crore and the differential amount would be met through additional revenue collection and savings, the CM said.

The supplementary budget has proposed provisioning of a total of Rs 1,196 crore for the state government’s flagship Subhadra Yojana.

For organisation of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister presented a proposal for allocation of Rs 125 crore.

The Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJUGA) received a provisioning of Rs 92 crore,  while Rs 5 core has been provided for Ratnabhandara of Lord Sri Jagannath Temple.

An allocation of Rs 51 crore has been proposed for installation of CCTV Surveillance System in police stations and outposts. Rs 60 crore has been provisioned for modernisation and extension of Fire Services.
