Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to attend public grievance hearing at a new place in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
As per the information shared by the CM’s office, Majhi will attend the grievance hearing at the erstwhile government primary school near the Capital Nursery in Unit 2 at 8 am.
Sources said the permanent office of the grievance cell is set to shift to a new location. The proceedings would be held in arrangements until the new site is ready.
This new facility seeks to bolster accessibility and improve efficiency, slated for completion at a cost of Rs 15 crore.
The grievance hearing programme marked a departure from previous administrative practices by decentralising grievance redressal. This revival of the hearing mechanism gained public trust, as evidenced by 6,000 petitions received during a single regional session in Sambalpur, indicating strong citizen engagement
As of March 2025, the cell was reported to have received 8,737 grievances with an 84% resolution rate (7,331 cases). The efficiency increased up to 88% resolution of 9,377 total cases across nine sessions by April.
