Odisha COVID Update: Slight Rise In Daily Infection, Only Two Districts Report Cases In 2 Digits
Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a marginal rise in COVID cases on Tuesday with 151 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Amid the Centre’s rap over rising cases and declining tests, the state has been reporting less than 200 cases for the last four days with 105 on Monday, 189 on Sunday and 193 cases on Saturday.
According to the I & PR department, 89 of the new infections are from quarantine and 62 local contacts. Twelve among them are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 63 new cases, followed by Sundargarh at 12. While 19 districts have reported new cases in single-digit, it is nil for nine districts.

Besides, 16 are from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 46,669 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.32%.
While the affected tally has touched 10,50,505, Odisha now has 2,107 active cases.
