Cuttack: Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo suffered an injury in an unfortunate incident during his visit to Cuttack city on Sunday.
The incident reportedly took place when Singh Deo visited the city to review the arrangements for the upcoming women’s fair (Nari Shakti Mela), which is slated to be held on June 13 at the lower Bali Jatra ground.
However, while taking stock of the preparations at the site, one of the feet of the Deputy CM accidentally got twisted, causing him severe pain and discomfort, sources said.
Following an immediate medical examination, it was found that he had suffered a hairline fracture in his left foot.
Sources said the Deputy CM taken to the SCB Medical College and the Hospital in Cuttack for treatment. Doctors at the facility confirmed the injury and provided necessary medical to ensure a quick recovery.
