Bhubaneswar: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and Odisha government, has stepped up
In an effort to accelerate solar rooftop installations across central Odisha under the PM Surya Ghar-Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY), the TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has offered an incentive to its consumers.
TPCODL, a joint venture of Tata Power and Odisha government, has waived the net metering processing fee of Rs 500 for rooftop solar systems. This will eliminate the process of online demand note generation and payment through the payment gateway.
TPCODL had earlier eliminated the requirement of technical feasibility study for systems up to 10 kw and also minimised the time taken for site inspection, net metering agreement signing, net meter installation etc. by making the Section Manager the single point contact.
The aim is to make the scheme as consumer friendly as possible, simplifying processes within the regulatory framework.
TPCODL has urged all residential customers to set up rooftop solar power system, generate own green power and save on electricity bills.
Residential consumers can avail of attractive Central and state financial assistance that ensures return of investment within three years.
“Our commitment to promoting renewable energy solutions is unwavering. This campaign is not just about installing solar rooftops; it’s about creating a lasting change to provide a sustainable future for our communities. We aim to empower residents and businesses to embrace solar energy and contribute to a greener Odisha,” said TPCODL CEO Arvind Singh.
