Bhubaneswar: Recognising outstanding dedication and vigilance, East Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager Parmeshwar Funkwal felicitated three employees for their exemplary service performance and alertness while on duty.
The honoured railway employees are Uttam Kumar, Station Manager at Lakshmipur; Podilapu Gowri Sankar, Senior Goods Train Manager at Simhachalam North; and Manoj Kumar Hansdah, Track Maintainer-III at Rahama. They were applauded for their quick thinking and proactive actions that ensured the smooth and safe operation of trains under their watch.
Their alert response during routine duties not only prevented potential operational disruptions but also reinforced the high standards of safety, ECoR said in a press release on Monday.
While presenting the awards, Funkwal commended their commitment and the critical role played by railway personnel working in the field. “Our frontline staff — including track maintainers, loco pilots, technicians, and station managers — are the backbone of our daily operations. Their vigilance and dedication are what keep our network running efficiently and safely,” he stated.
East Coast Railway continues to foster a culture of safety and operational excellence, recognizing individuals who go above and beyond in service to the public.
