Bhubaneswar: Schools in Odisha, which saw early summer vacation due to intense heatwave situation, will reopen on June 20 instead of June 18.
“In partial modification of the instructions issued vide the above mentioned letters, it is to inform you that the date of reopening of the schools may be read as 20.06.2025 instead of 18.06.2025,” the School and Mass Education department said on Monday.

The letter has been sent to all District Education Officers (DEOs).
All government and private educational institutions, from anganwadi centres and pre-schools to Class XII, were closed across the state from April 23. The summer break was preponed by a fortnight due to soaring mercury levels.
